Hello All,

I took my NCLEX-RN today in Augusta. I was so nervous but the proctors at
the testing center made me feel relaxed. After the picture taking & the 10 index-finger prints & 75 questions lasting all of an hour, I'm like...what have I just done! All of my studying/lects/clinicals/labs/careplans/career is about to depend on 75 question in 40minutes...this can't be true .

Well from the postings in this forum & others 75 quest usually mean a good thing, but I feel the exam was not that difficult as I'm use to from my nursing school & the ERI that we took at the end of each semester. In fact, it was very similar to the ERI. It was almost a breath of fresh air type of exam (a thank God kinda experience). Hope the feeling matches my test result .

Well I will be going to Tybee Island to relax & hopefully (God's Will) I will come back to some great news!! I'll keep you posted.

I am in the same boat as you. Took the test yesterday, awaiting results, worrying a lot!

Here's one more NCLEX style question for you, if you can stand one more.

Vektor has just learned that studentque has recently taken her NCLEX exam. Which of the following statements by Vektor indicates that she understands therapeutic comminucation?

1.) "You should go out and get drunk now."

2.) "What are you worrying about? All people in Augusta pass the NCLEX the first time."

3.) "Congratulations on completeing this milestone in your nursing career. I am wishing you the very best of luck."

4.) "Why do you want to be a nurse? Why not be an airline pilot?"

The correct answer is 3. This shows support and encourgement.
1 is incorrect - this promotes hedonism which is only good in small doses.
2 is incorrect - this provides false reassurance, though it would be cool if it were true.

4 is incorrect - this statement asks the candidate "why" and does not address her concern.

That was a good post...I needed that after taking the NCLEX today and also at 75 and under an hour and I think I failed and it was kinda easy for me too. Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh

Tee-hee. Anything I can do to bring some joy and laughter to some very stressed out future nurses.

I know laughter helped me A LOT when I was preparing for, and awaiting my NCLEX results.

Found out today...I PASSED!

That was a really cool quest...are U sure ur not a test writter!

Yeah, I relaxed on the beached & reflected on the nsg school journey I just was on. I got back today & found out I passed!!! That just made
my trip even more worth while.

I really enjoy reading all you post. I took my test on Saturday and got shut down at 75 questions. I cried all the way home (hour drive). I sure hope I passed.

Good luck to all and Congratulation for those who pass. I passed on June 12th... I am still amazed when I look down at my Name Badge and see the workds RN Charge nurse.

Hahahah...no I'm not a test writer, I've just had so many of those darn questions drilled into my head over the past month, that I swear, I am now thinking like the NCLEX...

...which is frightening.

I DID IT!!!! I Passed....This is a dream come true for me. I would like to share my jorney in becoming an RN

I am 42 years old. Since the age of 7 I have known I wanted to be a nurse. For those of you who remember , I would sit and watch "Adam 12" every day. I can still see "Dixie" the nurse on the show and remember how stong and knowledgable she was...I wanted to be just like her. When I graduated from highshcool, I did not have the money or grades to go to college for nursing. So, I did the next best thing, I joined the Army. I let a recruiter talk me into becoming a Military Policewoman. My plan was to serve three years, get out, and go to nursing school. Boy was I wrong. I ended up meeting my husband who I swear bleeds green and together we stayed in the Army and retired. For six years after I retired from the Army I pondered going back to school for nursing. By this time I owned a thriving family restaurant and had three kids, the youngest of which was 2 years old. With my VA benifits close to running out I decided to go for it and enroll in nursing school. The past four years I have communited one hour each way to school, ran a restaurant, and remained a mom and wife to my kids and husband. It has been a hard road, but I DID IT!!! I found out today I passed NCLEX. I took my test in 1:10 minutes with 75 questions. Believe me, if I can do it anyone else out there can do it...it's just how bad you want it!!!! Believe me I have wanted it for 24 years and now I am an RN.
