75 and not feeling very confident

Nursing Students NCLEX

I took the NCLEX yesterday and I am stunned that the computer shut off at 75. I am a hard worker but a terrible test taker and only a B- student in Nursing school. I completed Kaplan (got a low but passing score on the Readiness test) and have done at leat 150 questions a day for 4 weeks.

I was expecting to have to take at leat 175 questions but I feel sick that the computer shut off at 75. I feel absolutely ill. I called Kaplan and they told me that that particular center hadn't had anyone fail with a 75. I am finding abslutely no reassurance and this is positively horrible. I can't even remember the test- it was such a blur.

If there is anyone out there that failed the first time, did you fail with 75?

I haven't tested yet - that's next week for me - but the odds are with you for passing at 75. I don't think the test is set up to where you feel great after you are done. You studied long, you finished nursing school - you did everything you could to study - be proud of that. Keep your chin up and keep us posted! :)

Hello my fellow Massachusetts friend! :) You took the exam in Boston? I'm taking it tomorrow in Worcester. Where did you go to school? I went to Fitchburg State.

I heard that most people who finish in 75 questions pass. I also heard that if you think the test is hard, that is a good sign also that you passed. So hang in there! I'm crossing my fingers for you!!!! Think positive thoughts! :)

You are not the only one feeling this way :chuckle I took mine today and got 75 questions. I really don't feel good about it either. Well, I hope that we'll both pass it though.

your not the first person to feel this way.... trust me!!! i think everyone feels ill when then leave pearson vue after taking the nclex. i failed the first time and the second time. it's a horrible feeling, but i have remained positive and know i will pass the nclex. i took it for the 3rd and hopefully final time on the 18th. i'm waiting for my results. keep your fingers crossed for me and i'll do the same for you!

i suggest you just relax, keep you head held up high, and stay positive. most importantly remember no matter what the outcome pass or fail, you gave it your best and that's all you can do. you will pass the nclex. we have faith in you and you should have it for yourself too. keep us posted.

good luck!

most likely if you only took 75 you passed. Someone I know took the entire test and failed. I have known a couple of people that have had only 75 questions and passed. GOOD LUCK
