3rd failed nclex, please help.

First off I don't know why you came on this site to tell me that because I have evaluated my life and nursing is for me. I currently work at a hospital as a tech and I absolutely love it I know that I will be able to become a nurse but unfortunately for some people testing and the ability to answer questions on the spot like that comes hard. It's not that I don't have a passion for this or Compassion or haven't given enough work to this career / major. In fact I have hired a private tutor to help me with this to figure out what I am doing wrong on these tests. And for somebody like you who supposably is a future psych NP you need to have a little bit more compassion for people and understand that not every single person is going to do well the first or third time that doesn't mean that I'm going to be a horrible nurse or that I should reevaluate my choice in choosing nursing. If you ever got the chance to meet me you would understand who I am what I do and how hard I work for this. So before you comment saying I should reevaluate it maybe you should ask me questions as to who I am and what I want to do with my life and not that I just want to reevaluate. In life there are too many people like you who bring other people down and it's absolutely ridiculous we're all put on this Earth for something and if you know what you're put on this Earth to do then you should never quit. But thank you for your generous time and effort that it took you to write that comment on my question, because now I have more drive then ever to take people like you and show them what people like me can actually do in this world and prove you wrong. I hope if I ever need a psych NP I never get somebody like you with so little compassion for the other people because I would never want to treat somebody with such little respect especially some that you don't even know.

The NCLEX is designed to test the BARE MINIMUM competencies in terms of knowledge that you need to know to be a safe nurse. It is not rude of me to state that if you have not been able to meet those minimum competencies on 3 separate occasions that you should re-evaluate your career choice. In real life when you have a patient in the hospital you don't get three tries to decide what your priority is- the patient won't survive past the first try. Just because I am becoming a psych NP doesn't mean I don't have to be realistic with people, I would not ever want a nurse treating me who took 3+ times to pass the NCLEX. The first fail (or two) you can blame on test anxiety, past that and you don't know the information.

I am not the only one who thinks there should be a limit on number of times you can take the NCLEX.

Why did you even comment on this thread? Someone came here to seek advice and not to be mocked or brought down by people like you. How do you even treat your patients with so little or no compassion at all. It is not necessarily you must comment on every thread, you can skip the once you don't like. Some have failed multiple times and passed later and they are great nurses today. Try to be

be nice and kind at some point in your life. I think it is time the management here should look into these comments and tell people to not ridicule or bring down others who are desperately asking for help and encouragement.

I treat my patients with compassion. There is a difference between no compassion and being realistic. If a patient comes in with multiple heart attacks and they tell you "but I just really want to keep eating cheeseburgers and I know one of these days I will be able to not have a heart attack," it is not uncompassionate of me to tell them that they need to fix their diet to improve their health. If you can't pass the bare minimum in terms of nursing knowledge after 3 attempts, you need to either A) go back to nursing school or B) re-evaluate if nursing is the right career for you.

Anyways how did you like it?? I see a lot of possitive things with remar. I also used uworld which I think is also good...
