This is a popular belief, but it is a myth that some testers are randomly selected to receive all of the questions. Not trying to be argumentative over small details, but it restarts a rumor that we fight here frequently.
The NCLEX test methodology and test questions undergo validation, but this is not achieved by giving random candidates the maximum-length exam. If a candidate's test keeps going to 265, the result may be passing or failing, but it is not random - it just means that the computer never reached a pass/fail decision
with 95% confidence, which would be required for the computer to stop early.
