I just took mine this morning and got 265 questions. This was my second attempt. It's so scary leaving the testing center knowing other friends have passed @ 75 questions while I had 265 today...can't help but thinking I know NOTHING about nursing...but as now-RN's have posted on this forum...it IS possible to pass @ 265...

Congratulations to all the May 08 NCLEX PASSERS!!! I was a failed April 08 but hopefully I'll be a May 08 passer, too!!! I'll updated on Wednesday...=)

Hey everyone, now maybe some of you can give me some encouragement..I too had 265 questions- yikes!! I havent been able to sleep or hardly do anything worrying about this- I find out tomorrow. Wish me luck

Yes, I REALLY DO know how you feel! Getting 265 questions was the worst. I was there for 4 hours. I was definitely not expecting that. When I took the LPN exam last year I got the minimum number of questions (85) and was out of there in 45 minutes! But the RN test really kicked my butt. I had to keep reminding myself that as long as the computer kept throwing questions at me I was still in the game. I had a cold, couldn't breath, was trying not to disturb the other test takers by coughing, and they had to bring in tissues for me, only 2 at a time. My head was so congested it felt like it was in a vice. Not the ideal test taking experience! Yes, I tried to reschedule the exam, but all the test dates were booked through July and I’m supposed to start my new job on the 19th (no stress there!) I was so down in the dumps when I left. I drove to the cemetery to spend some time "with" my mom. She got to see me get my LPN, but not my RN and I was sobbing. That’s a whole other story. My stupid cold was getting to me and I went through a whole box of kleenix at the cemetery!

I was so scared to check the Pearson site that I had my son on my lap so I could squeeze him for comfort upon seeing the bad news. I was wondering how I would be able to get through taking that test again. And then when it said "Pass" I still burst out crying. Then I thanked God.
My whole body was so worn down from the experience that it took a couple of days to actually be able to enjoy the news.

Anyway, congratulations to the both of us! Hope you get to celebrate like you so deserve! YOU'RE AN RN NOW!

You sound EXACTLY like me. I had the worst sinus infection ever!! I oculd not reschedule either bc I start on June 16th and there were no more dates. The whole test I felt as though I was guessing and had learned absolutely nothing in nursing school- any words of encouragement.

i took the nclex-RN (my first take) last may 28, 2008...gosh! i also reached til 265! even duing my review, i set my mind that i will be taking 265 questions that's why i had built & readied my stamina for it.
i had a friend who recently took the nclex, stopped at 265 as well, but failed.

i was thinking of it even before taking the exam that if i got 265 & failed, i would still be proud of myself since until the end of the game i was still fighting & into it unlike if i stopped earlier then failed. 265 is actually the proudest failure we could ever get in nclex..well, just a thought.

i just hope i could pass..still hoping & praying as advised to me by the other members in other threads...

i can actually get my result through phone call to northern mariana, my state where i applied in, because it's already the third day since i took the exam..nevertheless, im still not ready for the sad news if ever..

awww...but still with a flicker of hope..thanks to this thread & all its people in it..
i'll just keep you guys posted once i received my result. we all did our part as we studied very well. let us just all leave the rest to God.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the support these past couple of days... Having the 265 questions and being sick on top of that was a nightmare. Just wanted you all to know that 265 questions are possible,I found out I passed about 1030 this morning. So if you get the 265 questions dont get up- its def. doable!!!

I took my test on May 28th. I took 75 questions and after 2 horrible days I found out I passed. Sign me... Gary RN

I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that some test-takers are randomly given the full 265 questions to take. If it's true, how much does that suck?
