1-1-13 starting to prepare for NCLEX ....Join me and lets encourage each other! - page 7

I graduated in May 2012 with my BSN! I needed to get my two children on track with homeschool before I focused on NCLEX preparations. 6 months later and the time has come! I will formally begin... Read More

Today was my first day of Hurst. Has anyone taken this before? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing except for attending the class for 3 days.
Have you watched day 4 & 5 yet? I haven't, was wondering what you thought of it if you did.

Hi everyone So as some of you know, I only had about 2.5 weeks to prep for this thing, so I focused mainly on the Question Trainers and reviewing my Saunders book. Thus far I have done okay (to my knowledge) on the Question Trainers, however as I'm now trying to do more of the Q Bank (since I only a few days left! eek!!) and I'm getting very worried because I only have a 66% overall in the Q Bank with about 21% (I think after tonight 300 total) questions completed. Is this not a good sign..I don't know what to do with my limited time and I feel like I'm running around like a panicked chicken. What have been your Q Bank scores...basically I swing between 64% at my lowest and 70% at my highest...I'm so frustrated to see that below 65% mark (twice now).

I'm in, I graduated in June 2012 and I need to pass this exam. I'm just waiting on the att but I know I need to find a way to build on content and getting used to picking the right answer. I graduated from a university in Puerto Rico so the testing style was a little different. Anything that I can learn here will be very appreciated, for I know that all we want is to be good nurses, and it starts by passing this exam. I'm glad to be aboard.

Congrats! I just wanted to give you guys updates regarding my review. I have been using La Charity's PDA (I have 5 more chapters left), Mary ann Hogan's for content (questions are thought provoking references NCSBN review and questions). I have work until 6pm during weekdays so I study from 7 to 1am.

I am starting to panic as my test date is getting closer (Feb. 7). I feel like I am far from being prepared, I am using Kaplan and Saunders to study. However, I have not been studying as much as others on this discussion...feel like I have been slacking.Having trouble staying motivated.

At this point I feel exactly they same I keep my books and study guides open all day and skim through the books of things I'm unfamiliar with but still feel as if I'm not retaining enough I have a short attention span which gets the best of me everytime :/

I'm so glad I found this thread. I graduated in June 2010 and failed the nclex-pn 3 times. Each time I failed, I would take time off before I get my study mode back. I am now scheduled for my 4th try on Feb 6, 2013 and I've been doing 100 questions a day using Exam Cram. When I am done with all their questions, I will move on the LaCharity.
