Ratios in IHS Hospitals

I've been thinking about working for IHS for a while now. What kind of nurse to patient ratios has anyone seen in IHS hospitals? I'm thinking of med/surg or ICU. PMs are welcome, too.

Think about IHS case management, maybe in the community.
Just think about it, investigate it.
Are you Native American? It actually matters a little.

I work for IHS on a med/surg/peds combination floor. Our nurse/patient ratio is typically 1:4. A couple of times I have had 5 patients but we had several call-ins. Native Americans do have hiring preference but it doesn't mean you shouldn't apply. I'm not Native American. So far I love it.
