Looking for work in Missoula where to start?

I'm thinking of re-locating there but I have no idea how many hospitals there are or (more importantly) which ones are good. Any suggestions?

I know that they have at least two hospitals (maybe more). One is St. Patricks Hospital and Health Science Center, the other one is
Community Medical Center. St Patricks does Life Flights, and I think specializes in cardiac care. I don't know how many beds. Community has Peds, L&D and a NICU as well as the adult M/S, ICU, ER etc. That has 140 or so beds. Google "Missoula MT Hospitals" for info.

It's a nice town, has the University, so the population changes. My son has lived there for several years.

Missoula has 2 hospitals. ST Pats which is a trauma 2, and Community Medical Center which is trauma 3. Both have copters. What are you actually looking for?

Hi there,

Missoula is a GREAT place to live, the Bitterroot Valley is lovely . . . I know, cuz I live there!

I also, obviously, worked there. Yes, there are two hospitals. St. Pat's does most of the cardiac and Trauma (although Community is also now doing Trauma quite well). Community specializes in Maternal-Child, but is attempting to add other service lines (cardiac presence, especially).

The biggest problem for folks relocating to Missoula is the cost of living as compared to wages; nurses make good wages (both hospitals are unionized) but the spouses often have significant problems finding work.

I've resigned from Community and formed my own Travel Agency, but would be willing to answer any specific questions you might have, if you haven't already moved!
