Ok my final article is almost done. I"m working on formatting it now. I'll publish it in PDF format and leave a link for it to be downloaded.

It is only directed to the IPOD Touch and IPHONE.

My dad let me borrow his Ipod touch for nursing school, I have downloaded just about all the free medical apps i think i need, my question is, which of the paid apps does everyone think a new nursing student should have? I start school in august and have until then to purchase them.

I had a palm and lost it, so now after a few days of research (I take forever to make a final decision on a purchase) I decided to get an Itouch after reading the posts here. Love this website!

CraigB-RN - where is your blog so we can see updated lists of what you recommend.

To anyone else: Is it worth it to buy the programs in a group? Are there programs that skyscape and others sell in a group that are not used much in the clinical setting, making it a better idea to buy the programs separately?

What apps for general living is everyone loving? For instance, are there different calendars that people like? Note taking programs?

Thanks

I have Skyscape on my iphone.
-Davis' Drug Guide
-Diseases and Disorders
-Nurse's Lab Tests
-Taber's Dictionary

The drug book is essential, but my favorite, must-have program is Tabers. It is so complete, for lots of things it has almost as much as the diseases and disorders program.

I was not too impressed with Skyscape on my Palm Tx, but on the iphone it's awesome. Very user-friendly and works flawlessly.

And my fave game is Flight Control. Simple but quite addictive.

What are the PALS algorithms under? I've done a number of searches, but nothing comes up.

I'll have a rewrite of my what's on my IPOD posted here later today. I had to do a rewrite because I signed over the copywrite to Elsiver and they wouldn't let me post it. I've got a draft done, but have to have it reviewed to make sure I don't violate the copyright.

I just wish some of these apps weren't so expensive. I hate how some of them are just as expensive as the book version. They should do it like itunes does it with music. THey'd sell more at a cheaper price and it would all be profit since they have no cost of making/binding/delivering the books etc.
