Purpose and benefits of Apple's Mobileme service?

Hello everyone. I am entering the master's in family nurse practitioner program this fall at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Who uses Apple's mobileme service? What are the benefits? Would it be useful for a nurse in graduate school? Useful for a practicing nurse/nurse practitioner? I'm tryiing out the free trial for 60 days and it seems pretty cool. However, I don't like to use too much email's so i'm sticking with my gmail instead of using the @me.com. I synced calendars, contacts, and put photos in. I put my other nursing douments in my idisk. Is this useful for many of you?
