Palm or ipod touch?

Good morning!!

I want to buy a new pda for nursng school. I trying to decide if I want the palm or ipod touch. I already have a blackberry but i don't think the memory will be enough for all the software i want to download.

Which one do you have?

How helpful is it?

Do the clinics, and hosp. allow ipod touch?

Do you have any problems downloading sofeware?

Are there any programs that you would like to download but are not avail for your device?

Anything you want to add?

Thanks!!

I am going to get an itouch. You can download so many different applications. I know there are drug references guide ones and many others for the medical field. The interface is very user friendly. It is only $200-250 I think. Do you have a mac or PC? I have a mac already, so it might be easier that way for me.

I love my iTouch. Be sure and get some non-nursing games/apps just for fun & stress relief (you can get some fun, simple games for free or really cheaply).

For what it's worth they aren' t making any plain palms anymore. when they are gone, they are gone. I've switched 100% to the touch and love every minute of it.

I am also beginning my nursing program in August, and am required to get a PDA for Skyscape software. Trying to decide between the HP Ipaq and the Touch. It seems like most of what will be required is looking information up, but I was wondering about entering information, and using things like MS Office as well. I have a desktop Mac and a PC laptop. My biggest question is deciding b/w the stylus and the touch screen - particularly for input, and synching to both platforms. I called Skyscape and the rep I spoke to really didn't know much about the hardware, even though they sell it! I was hoping to try both devices out before buying or even buying and returning - (Skyscape does not offer a trial for hardware.) Any suggestions? PS I love this website, it is what helped me decide b/w med school, acclerated BSN/MSN/NP school and vet school.

Hope you all have a great day!

The new palm pre is amazing, but there's no decent native medical apps for it yet. Should be plenty by the fall.
