MicroSDHC card, 8GB: $15 can this be used for the touch and how? I have an 8gb itouch and have less than 20 mb left on it. I use it a lot for work, epocrates, skyscape, eponyms, to name a few. Buy the biggest touch you can. The aps are so intriguing that you download, and download and download. Go pacman!

also you may now know what you want to use it for but over time you may find more uses for it and without the extra capacity you will be forking out for a whole new setup

No, Apple tends not to allow expansion memory slots as it takes away their revenue stream forcing you to upgrade for more storage.

I have the 16GB model and I've got about 4GB free. Now if I were to take the time to edit out the music I dl'd but don't listen to, remove the stuff I was using to cram for the NCLEX-PN, I'd probably have about 7GB free. That would leave me with the Nursing Central suite, LPN Notes, Epocrates Rx, the free Skyscape apps, and a ECG tutorial still onboard. I think the 8GB model is doable. I just have a problem recommending against more room than needed, just to cover future needs, as the Touch's storage isn't upgradeable. j

JC3015,

What sort of stuff did you have on there to review for the NCLEX? Does Saunders or one of the other review books have an NCLEX-PN review app, b/c that would be 'da bomb'?!

Sorry. I was just using other apps (Davis Meds and Tabors, for instance). There wasn't an NCLEX prep title at the time.
There still isn't one I see for PN, but Modality.com has Saunders' NCLEX-RN for the iPod/iPhone. As I'll be starting my local ADN program in August, I plan on adding that to my iPod. I had the disc from the Saunders NCLEX-PN on my laptop and used it a LOT. j

while it's true that other platforms allow for storage expansion via SD cards, the question is WHY would you need that much space on a non-ipod platform? pda apps don't take that much space. the other platforms don't function very well as mp3/video players (which is where the MAJORITY of your storage goes on an ipod/iphone) so you wouldn't really have much use for the storage expansion. unless you use your pda as a portable storage drive as well maybe.

it's kind've a catch22. ipod/iphone's dont allow for storage expansion. other pda's do, but you wouldn't need to upgrade storage on them anyways.

Hi everyone,

I have learned a lot about the iTouch & all the possible apps that could be used for school & work in the last 30mins. I am now leaning into purchasing unbound for my upcoming iTouch but stumbled upon the free epocrates. But, when I took a look at the site, the only available version for download was for an iPhone. Is this correct?
