Retrieving Nursing Apps

I am trying to decide between a smartphone or the ipod. Can most apps (once dowloaded) need the internet to use them?

Most of my daily *useful* apps are independent of the internet. I can only think of a couple that require the 'net and that's only when I'm choosing to read an article or outside link. I believe the "top ten" apps all run quite nicely and quick.

    Good choice with the iPod/Phone.

Thanks for the replies. I would love an iphone because I have never had any type of smart phone, but I am really not wanting to deal with a monthly bill so I am thinking the ipod would be a good choice!

Yep, the only reason to get an iPhone would be for convenience (2 vs 1) in your pocket. I wouldn't go breaking any contracts for it and the pod is just as sweet. I know some folks who are still using their Palms quite efficiently.

Our contract through verizon ends in Aug. and if I upgrade, then it's another two year contract. As it stands for our two phones, we pay $90 a month for text and 700 shared minutes. I would then have to add another $30 to that. The iphone sounds really tempting, but I got to be smart!
