OK, you have to listen to the "Maudsley debates" Look up the Institute of Psychiatry and they are there. They are informative but hysterical! Bunch of Brits in a legit academic setting- debates about everything from "Is PTSD too medicalized" to "does therapy make you crazy?" I love these crusty old guys. They are so honest. Seriously, they got going on PTSD and I've never heard anyone say bollocks that many times in polite company! I'm American and really wish the actual experts from the US would just get up and say what they think. It's not a legal issue- and if you know your stuff then a good debate is fun! I actually learned a lot from the 5 or so I've listened to.

I don't listen to many nurse podcasts. But then again after 35 years I"m a bit beyond the basics. I listen to a lot of "MD" poscast. EMRAP, , emcrit SCCM podcast, and the like. Lot so knowldege to suck up. The nursing podcasts tend to be aimed at lowest common denominator.

I don't have nearly the years you have, but I agree that the nursing ones are often more geared toward students or new nurses.

I really enjoy the ICURounds podcasts; they are for medical students, but they fit my level of experience perfectly. Not above my head, not too long, not too boring, well organized. I enjoy them.

In case anyone hasn't figured this out yet, I'm sure a lot of us get our directly through iTunes. I only have a Mac, but I assume you can download iTunes for PCs as well. Then you just go to the iTunes store and look for podcasts. Most of the medical and nursing ones are free.
