I purchased the Davis drug guide app in leu of purchasing the book at my school's bookstore. After reading through some threads on here I have learned that many recommend the Nursing Central App which from what I can tell includes the Davis drug guide that I just purchased Is there anyway that I can "return" the drug guide app and get my money back so I can just subscribe to nursing central instead?

- Sep 5, '09 by CircejaneI don't think so, but honestly, I'd purchase the Taber's Medical Dictionary (you NEED this, it's invaluable on the Touch) and call it good. Those two books are what you're going to use 80% of the time in clinicals. You can add other texts, too, but if I were doing it over, I'd pass on the Nursing Central and instead buy Harrison's, Davis' Drug Guide, and Taber's.
You are going to LOVE having these books on your Touch, easily accessed anywhere! Make sure you get a case and screen protector for your device. I also started buying only scrub pants with a leg pocket, to keep my Touch in. Safer than a scrub top pocket and easy to get to. Make sure you check out all the free and low-cost medical apps in the App store, and the nursing podcasts that are free on iTunes!
- Sep 5, '09 by tfleuterThank you very much! Taber's was going to be my next purchase if I didn't do nursing central. After I thought about it a bit, I realized that maybe buying the indivdual apps wasn't such a bad thing. At least I won't have to worry about a yearly subscription then.
