IPod Touch or Blackberry?

I have a Blackberry Curve right now but I am considering purchasing an IPod Touch for clinicals - which would you prefer and why?

The itouch for sure. I actually have the iPhone and I love it!! The hospital I did my clinicals in did have wifi access. Some of the servers were locked and required a password but there was one available for public use. HTH!

I have a Curve as well and use it at clinicals. I've got my drug guide and nursing diagnosis book loaded onto it. I've had no issues with it. The iTouch is nice, but I'd save the money if you'd only be buying it for school and you've already got the Berry.

    Hello!

I am a new graduate nurse and have had experience with both the Blackberry and Itouch, as well as a palm and windows mobile. By far the itouch applications are much easier to use and in a more aesthetically pleasing layout. Plus it is thinner and lighter than all four (makes a big difference when you carry it around in your pocket). Blackberry is difficult to use, and the browser and layouts of programs do not always translate well into readable documents. Palm/windows are similar, and are nice but my i-touch blows them away! I cannot stress how much better the itouch is

I touch has wifi, but you most likely will not need it if you get a couple of good programs. I have purchased the "nursing constellation" pack from skyscape and it has everything you need. Its great for clinical as well as studying and making care plans, I use it all the time for a quick reference.

Thank you all so much. I purchased the Ipod Touch this week and I love it already. I do agree that it is much easier on the eyes than the Blackberry.

Can you tell me the difference between the skyscape and epocrates applications? Where did you go to school?
