    Not just for nursing school but good for the practicing RN/LPN, too. Keep in mind that not all of these are free.

    * Allnurses
    * ACLS Manual (this was a couple of bucks, I think...but it's practically the entire AHA ACLS manual on your phone at your fingertips)
    * 3in1 Lab Values+
    * Arrhythmias
    * Heart Murmur Pro
    * There is this app called CriticalCare...I *think* it was free, or maybe it was $0.99 or $1.99...but it s a GOLDMINE of information!
    * Micromedex
    * ABG STAT
    * DripsManager
    * Stroke Scale, which has the NIHSS stroke scale on it. I have actually used this with patients to score them on the NIHSS when I didn't have the cards available to test language, dysarthria, or inattention. This also includes information on tPA administration, inclusion criteria, BP and stroke mimics.

    There is also Skyscape (which is not free, very expensive, but again a wealth of information) and Medscape (free).

    Medscape. Has tons or free CE on PC. I use it all the time to quickly refresh my memory of meds.
    I will look at the lab ones. Thanks!

    If your school or place of work offers access to Nursing Reference Centre, they have an awesome free app! I also use Micromedex, New England Journal of Medicine, and Medscape.

    My school requires that we buy a membership for the Skyscape app. I haven't used it much yet, but I can already tell it has tons of information. I have also heard many good reviews on it, and it should be dang good for the price!

    Which critical care app are you talking about? I just searched for it and a ton of apps came up in the App Store?

    Also, I have a Pocket Medical Spanish app that I like! I rarely ever use it but I've learned a few phrases from it that come in handy sometimes! L

    I recommend NCLEX Mastery for nursing students/new grads about to take their NCLEX. I think it was $19.99 but it was totally worth it! Had a ton of mnemonics, flashcards, and over 1400 NCLEX style questions with rationales. I used this & Hurst to study for my NCLEX and passed first try!
