ABSN Programs in the St. Louis Area

Hi Everyone,

I am a St. Louis native, currently living in Michigan. I have completed all of my pre-req's for the MI ABSN programs (A&P 1/2, Micro, Chem, Organic, Psych, ect...) with a 3.7 GPA. My undergrad is a 3.9. I am in the process of applying to MI nursing schools.

I just found out that my husband might be transferred back to MO, its not for sure, but I am proactively researching the ABSN programs there. Can any of you provide any insight into the programs local to the STL area? Specifically the following info:

1. How hard is it to get accepted into the programs? Is it very competitive? Any idea on the ratio of acceptance to applicants (for example, the volume of applicants is so high in MI that the acceptance ratio is only about 50%)
2. Is acceptance based only on GPA?
3. What is the wait period once you are accepted?
4. What does is the local job outlook for graduates?
