I found out that a RN start out making around $20 an hour and so do Teachers. I thought RN's made a lot more and teachers I always heard made very small salaries. I have always wanted to teach but I also love Nursing and want to amke a good living. Am I making a mistake? would it be smart to get a teaching degree then a RN and do Nursing on a part time basis like weekends and summers when Im not teaching?? apprently I would be starting out the same? some advice please.

Think bigger here! Get your BSN and teach! with a BSN you can teach vocational education( Think CNA's and LVN's.) Get a masters and teach RN students on the associate degree level.

In my opinion..(I am just a student ..not a nurse so this is just conjecture!) even if you start out at $20.00 as a nurse you will end up making more as you get experience. My sister is a teacher and I think that you can make more money as a nurse than as a teacher. Maybe
