I am in my last semester at SCC. I am doing the LPN-RN bridge, so my admission requirements were different. It is definitely a good idea to get all your prerequisites done first, several of my class mates have been enrolled in gen ed classes while in the program and it's tough. The program itself is really good, I've been happy with my choice. It is definitely challenging, though. You have to have a 78% average on all tests to move forward, 77.9 is failing. My class size was 80 last semester and is now 64.

    LLC81,
Thanks for the info! I think I'm just making myself super nervous. I'm ready to jump in and get it over with!

Do you know if you can start the program in January, or is it only Fall start? I was looking at classes and noticed that the second semester (which should be winter term), was actually offered Fall (only 24 seats though). Are those people that didn't pass, or is it possible they have more than one start date?

It is a fall only start for new students. LPN bridge students start spring semester of the first year, since they already have nursing fundamentals. Not really sure which class was being offered for fall with only 24 seats, so I can't answer to that. If you don't pass, you have to wait a year to retake the class.

I saw nursing 104, 114, and 124 (which should be taken winter) were being offered this Fall.

I have no clue. I'm just getting antsy waiting to hear back from them. They said letters would be sent out in March.

Will you post when you hear? I'm going in next week (the 28th) to sign up for next years wait list. She said I can see if anyone's GPA has dropped too low, or they aren't fulfilling whatever obligation, I could possibly get in for this fall.

They just confirmed with me that they are starting a January start date!! So them have both January and fall. Not sure how this will affect this year's applicants.

Hi! I'm planning on starting fall 17 as well. Has anyone received a letter? I'm anxious!

Not yet, I'm getting pretty anxious too. It's driving me crazy lol. When did you apply? I hope that the new Spring start doesn't mean that they will reduce seats for the Fall.

I applied about a year ago. They called me in July asking if I could start last fall. But I still had Chem and AP2 to take so I passed. So I assume I'm at the top of the wait list. But who knows.
