Oh lol, I started to panic a little bit thinking I was missing a class. They only use your prerequisites to calculate your gpa but you receive one point for having Microbiology completed for example my gpa is 3.0 and I have already completed Micro so I would receive 4 out of the 5 points possible. I think you have a good shot. I wonder why NAU would give an F for 1 class but withdraw for the other? I have heard about this happening to other students at NAU. Did you take your courses at NAU in Independence or Zona Rosa?

Another thing I didn't realize until last night is like my human life shows 3.0 credit hours transferred under "grades" but on the nursing program plan it shows it should be 4 ch? Same for Micro, Micro shows 4 ch, but the nursing program plan shows 5 ch? At NAU, Micro (with lab) was 6, and Human Life was 4.5?! Weird! But all of my classes transferred with less credit hours?? Idk how credit hours are decided from school to school but I just find that odd... I went from 44 credit hours at NAU, and all my classes transferred in but only as, 29.33 credit hours. Nutrition transferred as a biology elective with 1.33 units?!! Lol

The exact same thing happened with me I transferred in A&P l and ll, Micro, and College Algebra but received less credits for them I wonder what's up with that but like you said they transferred and I received credit for them so I didn't bother asking. As long as it doesn't interfere with applying for the Nursing program I'll let it go.

Exactly, and I think that's why they ask for your previous transcripts so they can look into your transferred classes if needed but I don't understand it. Lol With my pre reqs I have a 3.5, and then the 1 point for Micro but my TEAS is pretty low, and idk what score they will use since I took it twice and didn't pass (based on NAU's 60% requirement), and then passed the 3rd time 6 months later. Even though they don't take a 3rd score she said to include it... I'm like ohhhhk lol

You have 4.5 points so you have a really good chance at getting in the first time. I was reading through old post an it looks like a lot of people that were accepted had around 4 points. I took the TEAS at NAU as well. Penn Valley doesn't accept a third try only if you didn't make the 51.3% on the first two tries. They use your highest score so if you received a 60% at NAU that is 10 points above what you need for Penn Valley I would say there is a pretty good chance you'll get in.

When I told them about my 3rd time, they said it was fine because it was taken 6 months later after the first 2 times. They said to submit all 3. I've heard it's pretty competitive getting in so I'm curious to know if I'll make the cut. My friend who goes to NAU now applied twice and was only chosen as an alternate but idk what her grades were either but I know she had an 80% on her TEAS.

Wow!, an 80% and she still didn't get fully admitted? I heard they were very competitive. Speaking of NAU I have received at least 5 calls from them this week about enrollment for the next term.

Yea, Idk what the deal was or what her GPA was and that might have affected her. NAU finally got the point to quit calling/emailing me after I kept going off on them in emails and on the phone. I think I finally got my point across to them. I was nice the first few times and asked them to remove my name from their system but they kept calling which is when I started getting rude with them! lol They're a for profit school so unless you get nasty with them they probably won't quit calling because they want your money! Lol

Kellmvb did you turn in your application yet for Penn Valley? I am confused by the MCC's website. Just noticed today where it has conflicting info on the application period. One place says 1st Thursday of the month and another place says 2nd Wednesday. Going to have to call tomorrow and confirm. Just wondering if anyone else has been in contact with the nursing office and has better info?

Hey Lilacs for Mom, I actually called the nursing office on Monday and was informed the application period started on Monday. I also had a friend call just to make sure the information I received was correct and someone told her the application period is from January 5th through the 21st. The website is very confusing I wish I could speak with someone about the confusion but I am often rushed off the phone when I finally reach someone. I mailed my application in yesterday I just hope it gets there okay.

I mailed mine in as well I should have used tracking for sure especially with all the confusion. I'm afraid to call and ask if it has been received.
