I recently applied to the ASN program at Zona Rosa in Kansas City for the March 1st application date (june program start) and I was wondering if anyone who got in in previous years, knows how long it took them before you got the acceptance letter? thanks so much

I just got my acceptance letter last Friday. Hopefully you got yours!! I'm so anxious to get started!

Hi, I am taking my prerequisites at NAU currently. My GPA before NAU was horrible. However my GPA for the five foundational core classes is a 3.8. I am applying march 1st for June start. Will you please tell me about the application process? Was it easy to get accepted, what did you score on the tease test etc??? And information will be gladly appreciated.

Hi I am taking my nursing prerequisites at NAU. My GPA before NAU was horrible. However, my GPA for the five foundational core classes Is a 3.8. Will you please tell me about you application process? Was it hard to get it, what was your GPA, your TEASE score and did they look at your overall GPA or just the core classes? Any information will be gladly appreciated :-)

Dear hopefulnrsstudent13,

I am sure you will get in! I also just applied to the ADN program for the June start. I am trying to be postive but I am wondering what my chances are. My GPA is 3.0. Its a little lower because I have a C in college algebra but I have A's and B's in all my other prereqs. My TEAS score was a 61.3% and the minimum is 60% I also do not have my CNA license number yet. I completed the CNA program at NAU but the test was postponed due to the snow. I am sure I passed and I will find out this week. Thankfully, I was told I can still get accepted under provision. I was told they look at your science courses mainly, your TEAS score, and your GPA.

Hi Essence333!Hopefully we will be in class together this June! My GPA is a 3.8 and I got a 60% on my tease test. The TEASE test was a lot harder than I imagined lol. Do you know when we will hear back?

From reading the previous comments from other students in the past it seems like we will know by the beginning of April. I have tried calling cheryl at the zona rosa campus but it is hard to get a hold of her so I stopped trying. Im sure they are very busy. The TEAS test was very hard indeed! When I took my test I was about 2 mins late because of the bad snow that we got. I overheard a student call in from the front desk and it was her first time taking the TEAS and she wasnt allowed because she would not have made it on time. It was the last time to take the test before applying. I felt so bad. It made me wonder if the number of students applying for the summer start will be less. I just want to know what my chances are. I want to ask how many students normally apply each time and how many students are accepted??? I was told that they will rank the students amongst each other so if the highest GPA was only a 3.0 then they would use that as a bench mark. It seems like we are battling the odds! I will pray that we both get in and hopefully I will see you in class!

I actually called the front desk this morning and asked the secretary if they had made the decisions yet. You are right about April. The secretary said that letters will go out April 1st or the week before. I asked Karen how many people typically apply and she said sometime hundreds. Like you, however, I'm wondering if this application will be different due to the snow. I hate the waiting period I'm just ready to know!!! I have a question for you, do you know if we will receive an email as well as a letter? When I was taking my TEASE I could have sworn I heard Karen say we would receive a letter and an email and I believe the letter will be certified. Cheryl is very had to get a hold of but I found that she responds to emails more that phone calls. I will pray for us both as well. Hopefully everyone applying scored around a 60% on their TEASE so ours scores won't seem so low lol!!!

Hundreds! Wow thats a lot of people. I wonder if more people apply from outside NAU than inside? Classes are so small, I would have only imagined 75-100 students applying each application period. Hopefully not that many people applied this time. I dont remember hearing that we would receive an email but it could be possible. That would be nice, I think it would be much faster. I would be surprised if we are the only ones who received a score in the 60% range on the TEAS test. I studied hard and I even bought the study manual from Barnes and Nobles! lol I think the only thing that would prevent me from getting in may be my GPA due to the math class. I have A's and B's in everything else. I was able to complete everything in the application packet. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get a physical, immunization records, etc. I did get a hold of cheryl yesterday to see if she received my CNA license # that I emailed her and she said she would put it with my information so I dont think that they have started choosing students yet. I am trying to stay positive. The wait is killing me too! Will you let me know if you hear anything? I will start checking my mail the week after next.

Omg I just called NAU. They have made their decisions and the letters will be mailed out tomorrow. Good luck!!!!

Wow! That was fast! I will keep my fingers crossed! Did they say if they are sending an email as well?

No they didn't say anything about an email :-/ hopefully we will receive acceptance letters by Monday!
