does anyone know if the Missouri Nurses Association offers a group health insurance for their members? i work prn for several companies and need to purchase my own health care plan...thanks in advance for any info:smiletea:

- Feb 28, '07 by eddyIf you are in good health and do not rely on any routine medications, consider an indemnity plan. They are far more affordable and offer a reasonable amount of coverage. However, typically they cover your first dollar (no deductible) but they have caps. If you have a very serious issue that costs a ton of money, you're still going to be in trouble financially.
If you work agency you should ask them about their group health plans. Many have them these days. Mine does, and I'm very happy with it. In fact, it's completely free for individual coverage, and it's BCBS (not a no-name insurance company). This is NOT an indemnity plan, it's your traditional style group health plan. Free works for me!
