I completely forgot about that workshop im not off to a good start.lol just finished my last immunization today, so im all done! My financial aid should be approved anytime soon. What did the workshop consist of?

They're are more mini workshops that the retention coach teaches throughout the summer, look on that pink calendar. The workshop covered time managment, stress managment, critical thinking skills, and test tasking skills. It was some other things but I dont remember off the top of my head. I have the power points if you want to make copies.

I still cannot private message but I would rather just leave everything on this thread so that anyone can benefit from what we say about the nursing program. I hope that more of our classmates will come to this site so that we can share our experiences and hopefully learn from one another. I sent in my blue card last week but the man that changes my major to nursing is on vacation so I have to wait to sign up for classes until next week. No big deal really. I got some advice from a past nursing student and she said if you want to do well you need to sit in the front row, go to all the extra study classes, ask questions often and participate fully, and never miss a class or be late. I think that for a study group to be successful, everyone needs to be motivated to learn at a similar pace and not miss a lot of study sessions. Talk to you later.

Hi Tariat, it will be nice to meet you. Do you mind sharing your real name so that we would know how to find you on the first day? The first workshop got cancelled because not enough people signed up. I'm guessing they had the second one. I missed it, I guess I figured that one would get cancelled too and I forgot about it. Also I didn't even know for sure whether I was in the program this fall. I'm still disappointed that I missed it.

That what they told us at the workshop,they told us to dedicate at least 14-20 hours per week to study. That's going to be really hard since I work and have daughter. They also said make sure your professors personally know you. A study group will be awesome.

Tiara cool that's my sisters name. Quick question do either one of you know how to write a Financial Aid Appeal letter without lying? I could put the reason was because my mom was going through breast cancer treatments, although it wasn't the reason. Thoughts?
