Hi everyone! I'm looking for a nursing program that's pretty easy to get into, without a long wait in the St Louis area. I don't want to sacrifice a good education or possibly ruining future jobs prospects though. I've read... Read More

Hi everyone, im new to this website. I've already been accepted to the STL Chamberlain campus for the onsite BSN progam. and after reading through a lot of the post on this website, i have became very skeptical of the program. Is it a good program to get into? I understand it is a little pricey but is that the only bad side to this school? Also i have been having trouble getting an advisor or representative to contact me back. What should i do?

I have not had any issues with my adviser contacting me back, sometimes she may be a little slower than I like hehe but no issue. One thing to keep in mind right now is they are finishing up their big move! Classes started yesterday at the new campus. If you are using an old phone number, you are not going to have much luck, since they all got new phone numbers at the new campus so I would try email.

The information I have seen that is negative is usually not directed towards the STL campus, you have to remember too, that people who have negative experiences tend to spread it around, where the rest of the people who are happy are too busy working as nurses! hehe

Congrats on getting accepted! Were you accepted for Summer or Fall?? I am applying for fall, and go to take my Hesi tomorrow evening! My cousin was accepted for Summer!

I am currently attending Applied Tech for the LPN program which is located in Wellston and also South County Tech and graduate in a few months you should not rule out doing a LPN program and bridging to RN. I would be afraid of Chamberlain's rate graduates who can pass their boards.
Check out this website http://pr.mo.gov/boards/nursing/passrates.pdf and not to brag but my WHOLE CLASS just passed the HESE exam which is harder than the NCLEX-PN. Just a warning.
They must be doing something wrong for only 75% or less of their grads to pass state boards! Applied Technology is at the top of this list not only because they start with an A but check the pass rate of boards for yourself!

Actually you should have read the pass rates a little further down. That pass rate is for the old ADN program that the STL campus no longer offers. The pass rate for the BSN program is much higher. I did my research before deciding to apply. I got to spend a little time at Chamberlain today getting a tour and such since I was early for my HESI (Which I passed!) And the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming... that in my eyes is a good sign!

According to my advisor they will be having the next review session on Monday and I will know that day! I would assume it is the same for you assuming you have all your other paperwork done!

It really is nice, small and nice! A really nice lounge area which was important for me since I will be commuting from IL. My advisor gave me a tour while I was there, and I was impressed!

Oh my gosh you guys the people that rep Chamberlain are amazing. Especially one lady. I applied after she talked to me for a while in the beginning of Feb and took the test, wrote the essays, and letters. I found out a week later that I have been accepted for the July class of this year! YAY. I also work at St Anthonys and alot of our directors of ED, PEDS, CCU, all graduated from Chamberlain and loved it!

    GO FOR IT EVERYBODY.

I as well last year looked into Applied Tech the LPN based program, but it all got very fishy. There was alot of unprofessionalism.
