St. Johns or Cox? (Springfield)

by LCGrace

For a new nursing student, which college would you recommend? St. Johns College of Nursing or Cox College of Nursing? Which one would offer better career growth after graduation? Do either of them have a Children's Hospital? I'm interested in becoming a Pediatric nurse, but right now I am just focusing on completing my degree and becoming an RN.

go to one school and get a PCA job at the other's hospital, that way you have a good chance at both hospitals after graduation! It worked for me!

I think both programs have good and bad points, so I would advise applying to both and going with whichever one you get into first.

At the moment both hospitals have only a peds wing. St John's just announced a partnership with St. Jude for a new peds wing. Money for the new addition was donated by Brad Pitt's family...just a random piece of trivia
