Looking for some info on the RN to BSN program at USM. How long does it take? Is it difficult? I live on the Gulf Coast. Thanks

I don't know about the bridge program but I am in the BSN program and I would not say that it is hard but it is just time consuming & I did the two plus two. I took all of my pre-req's at MGCCC and now I am a senior at USM. Let me know if you have more questions.

I'm taking my pre-reqs at MGCCC/JC campus. I am also looking into the bridge program to get my BSN from USM. I already have a BBA, so I'm hoping this will help me as long as I can pull my GPA up in my core science courses. What campus are you attendin for your pre-reqs, or have you already completed them?

Hey! Do you know how hard it is to get into the ADN program at MGCCC? I was wondering what the cut-off is for the GPA requirements. Also, when do you apply? I already have a Bachelor's degree, so I have most of my pre-reqs out of the way. I'm just basically taking my math & science courses because my degree was in Marketing......not a lot of math or science required for that degree. I will complete my pre-reqs next semester, with most of my core-reqs completed as well. I will take A&P I next semester, and then A&P II next summer. So will I be able to apply in the spring for the fall deadline? Any information you can provide will be very helpful to me. Thanks!!!:spin:

    Hi Angel,
Sorry but I have no idea from experience for MGCCC. I have heard from others that the waiting list is really long but I never applied myself I just did most of my pre-req's there and went to USM.

Thanks anyway cynt77, was it very hard to get into USM's nursing program? I am going to apply at both, and just see which one I can get into sooner.

Congrats on that one Do you know what the cut-off GPA is, and is there a long waiting list? Sorry for so many questions. I'm just excited & nervous all at the same time. I think it's that way with everyone.

    No Problemo ask away!
Sorry but I don't know what the cut-off was. But at one point in time they were searching for applicants right after Katrina. I guess a lot of people thought the school was closed down but they just moved us to a temporary location.

Hi Angel 3, I graduated from MGCCC/JC -RN program last year. I still need several pre-req classes to get into the BSN program at USM, but I haven't taken any of them yet. I will probably be taking them at one of the MGCCC campuses in spring.
