Its a really good program.. VERY hard to get in..

Hey!

I personally graduated from USM SON, but I have a friend that graduated from MUW. As long as I have known her, she has had nothing but positive comments about the program and the instructors. I have also had friends that graduated from MUW (not necessarily the nursing program) that were impressed with the school as well.

I personally think it is a great school. I know that the NP program is one of the best. I hear lots of great remarks about the graduate program!

Thanks for the input!

I visited the MUW campus last Friday and met with Dr. Cox (head of the BSN program) and was amazed by how friendly and helpful everyone seemed to be - the total opposite of the local community colleges that I've been taking classes through! :)

I think if you choose MUW you will be very happy. That is where I went to school for almost 2yrs as a nursing major, but I moved to Arkansas, so I finished here..

A good friend of mine graduated from there and has had nothing but good things to say. I think it is also one of the hardest in the state.. To get into plus the program itself. They want people who are SERIOUS about being a nurse..

My husband now has me wanting to go talk to the people at Delta State's nursing program... just when I'd gotten so excited about MUW!

Hey manna!

I'm at the W now, and I have to say that while the actual nursing program is wonderful...the PEOPLE suck!

They are totally careless, irresponsible, and just plain lazy. (Ok, so you can tell I'm have a vrappy day.) Anyway, I will be applying in Oct. 04. Well, the other day, I went to Dr. Cox's office (BY APPOINTMENT!!) And her sec'y tells me "Oh, she's not here. last week she scheduled a meeting." I'm thinking, "and she couldn't have called me??" anyway, so i finally got rescheduled (last friday) and she tells me ok i need a copy of your transcripts...the ones SHE was supposed to have gotten from the registrar....anyway, you get my point.

I love the W, but so far the nursing PEOPLE haven't gotten too high on my list.

However, the program ROCKS! My best friend is in there now, and she LOVES it!

I hope you can still come here, manna! If I can help in any way, PM me, alrighty? :)

I was able to meet with Dr. Cox a few weeks ago when I came for spring orientation. Compared to the community colleges I've been taking classes from (who appear not to give a rat's @*#(* about their students), I thought the people at MUW were fantastic! Of course, that may have just been because they were trying to recruit us.. . LOL

So you're applying for the class that will begin junior year in 2005?
