Ive been accepted to lpn school at Hinds Allied Center. The orientation is November 13th, The first acceptance letters for nursing school have been mailed already, for those of you who scored 10 and above on the points system. The nine and below letters have not been mailed yet, however if you didnt get your nursing school letter yet, you should receive it before november 21st. Thats the date of the second orientation. I called and asked several times, and congrats to all who have been accepted hope to see you at Hinds.....:typing

Different campuses must have orientation on different days because mine is on the 12th at the Vicksburg campus. I didnt know they went by a point system I always thought they went by whoever got all the requirement in first got on the list. So what do they go by? NET scores, GPA, Classes taken... Another congrats to the ones who got in and for those who are still waiting hang in there and good luck. I was once in your shoes.

Oh ok i didnt clarify what all programs did what......Well the LPN program goes on the PNET test score from highest to lowest. My friend who applied along with me was chosen as an alternate, Which means if not everyone show up for the Lpn program she or the next highest scored person will be chosen. The ASN program goes on ACT scores, GPA, and Degrees aquired, which accumulate points. Also i wanted to say that i now have both letters of acceptance from Hinds, I been accepted in the LPN PROGRAM, and THE ADN Program, I received that letter yesterday and really dont know which program to choose......whats your thoughts??????redbeathe

    hey djmackd
Congradulations on being accepted to Hinds. I am in the ADN program at the Hinds CC Rankin branch and my wife is in the LPN program at the Rankin branch. I would recommend the ADN program over the LPN program. My wife agrees with that recommendation. My wife feels that in the LPN program the material is just covered too fast. So far I love the ADN program at the Rankin branch and the teachers seem to really care.
