Mercy Hospital Cardiovascular Care Unit

  1. 0
Hi - Periodically, I check the local hospital's job listings and I have noticed that at Mercy, when they post for cardiovascular care unit jobs, they accept new grads. Lately, I'm not seeing any jobs for new grads and I'm curious about this because I would think that that floor would be very stressful for a new grad. I would think working in this area would require at least some experience as an RN first...especially right now with the way the economy is. Am I missing something here? Does anyone know why this would be?

Nurses never seemed more stressed out on 4 Heart and 3 West compared to other floors when I worked there. Maybe they are willing to take new grads because permanent nights are difficult positions to fill? It is encouraging they are considering new grads.

4H and 3W are not the most difficult floors to work on. In fact they are easier than others.
