Currently hoping to get into the Nursing program in a MN college.

- Sep 18, '03 by boopchickI've been an LPN for 8 years and from what I've heard, this rumor has been circulating for years. I'm currently in an RN program but not in relation to this at all. I just wanted more professional opportunities.
BTW good luck on getting into the program!
- Sep 19, '03 by mstewartI am currently in an LPN program and I just looked in the SUnday paper last week to see how many LPN positions were posted. It doesn't look like they are getting rid of them anytime soon. I have talked to a manager at hospital near my house, and she said that they were phasing/phased out LPN's at that hospital. She also said other hospitals have done or are doing the same. But I am under the impression that a majority of nurses in LTC facilities are LPN's. I know North Memorial still employs LPN's.
