Graduated with a BA, deciding on nursing degree....

I graduated with a BA in Sociology at the U a year ago. I've decided to go for my nursing degree. I graduated with a 2.9 gpa and through researching, I found that there are many more prerequisites that I would have to take. I know that a few colleges have entry level masters of nursing, but would this be the right path? Or should I just get a second bachelor degree?

Have you talked to any schools of nursing yet? Nursing has become very competitive in recent years, due to the high numbers of people wanting to go into nursing, and a 2.9 GPA is not going to make you a very competitive candidate. Lots of programs aren't accepting anyone with less than a 3.6 or 3.7 (you'd be amazed at who is not getting into nursing programs these days). I would encourage you to talk to all the nursing programs (community college as well as college/uni BSN programs) in your area and see what seems like the best option for your particular situation (cost, schedule, etc.)

    Best wishes for your journey!
