by momandstudent Aug 7, '10I just have a few questions regarding the state's CEU requirements. I am a newly licensed grad and I need 29 hours before Oct. 2012. So, I started doing some free CEUs (because I am not working and am bored out of my mind) from medscape.com, nurse.com, and Sigma Theta Tau. Some are 1 contact hour and a few are 0.5 contact hours. Today I happened to look at the MN BON for CEU requirements and it states that they have to be 1 contact hour to be taken into account. So, the few 0.5 hours that I have done are not taken into consideration for the total needed? I just want to make sure I do this right before I spend any more time on ones that will not work. My instructors really never went over anything in regards to CEUs so it's all a little mystery to me...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
