quick questions:

what does it mean to transduce a line? sorry if this is a stupid question....thanks!

In very simple terms...To "transduce" means to monitor a value. You hook your art line up to a transducer and you get a blood pressure on the monitor. Same with a CVP on a central line.

I think technically to transduce is just to convert forms of energy. So you are converting the fluid pressure from the arterial line into an electrical signal that can display on to a monitor. Something like that :-)
