I am currently doing the pre and co req's and have been super worried about how I could work while in the program. Seeing this makes me feel better. The worst is the first 7 1/2 weeks but I could still work a couple of days and I will have to find a job for the weekend. Of course my boss might fire me and that all will change
I want to be a nurse though so I will figure out a way.
Thanks for posting this schedule. I plan on applying not later than June 2013! - Oct 3, '12 by Audi5000Does anyone know if we are required to have the drug test sent to the school or do we bring that in on Nov. 14th?
- Oct 4, '12 by Me2006Quote from Audi5000Its best to take it in to the school, but whatever you turn in to the nursing office ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure you make an extra copy, because they will easily say that you didnt turn documents in or they dont have it or its not in your file.Does anyone know if we are required to have the drug test sent to the school or do we bring that in on Nov. 14th?
so for the drug test, turn it intto the office and take it on 11-14. and keep an extra copy too - Oct 4, '12 by Audi5000Quote from Me2006Me2006, you have been very helpful. - Oct 5, '12 by principlesI hate to be negative, but I'm going to be truthful. You can't work full time. The girls who work part time at my job save up all their vacation time, call in sick and are under enormous stress. Full time will be hard.
- Oct 8, '12 by Audi5000Quote from Cece2001I don't intent to work at all until I get my foot in the door. I may pick up a part-time job eventually. I currently work full-time and I don't see anyway I can continue.Does anyone plan on working full time while taking classes?
- Oct 10, '12 by Cece2001Once this current semester ends I'll have all of my co-reqs completed and I'll only have to focus on nursing classes starting in Jan. that makes the load seem so much lighter so I'm hoping that I'll be able to pick up a midnight job to leave my days free for classes. I've always worked full time and attended classes part time so I'm used to working and goingto school, I know that this program may be a little more challenging tho. But, we'll see how it goes. I'm so excited!! I'm ready for orientation! I'm anxious to see what my schedule will be.
