Red Cross CNA program

Hi everyone,

My name is Mirela and I am wondering if anyone here has done the CNA program through Red Cross? I've been doing a lot of research on different schools and they seem to be a very good place although they are a bit pricey compared to these other "fast-paced" type of schools. I would actually prefer a school that is 4-8 weeks versus the 2 week schools. MCC seems like a good choice too but they are even more expensive! I just moved from west NC and the CNA course at AB Tech was $175!! Needless to say I've been shocked at the prices here in MI!

Sorry for the ranting. If anyone has gone through the Red Cross, how was your experience? Should I start volunteering at a nursing home now? Would that help when searching for jobs?
