    I felt the same way too!

    ok, can't figure out how to delete, I meant to comment on the girl who said she was going to cry when she saw the letter - but then realized it was just ranking info

    That's the good thing about MCC being 50/50 hesi/gpa. Your really high hesi score definitely offsets the lower gpa, I don't think you'll have any problem getting in. Your total points for ranking can be higher than someone that has a 4.0 but a low hesi score.

    I think (hope) with the amount of people being ranked this year, people with slightly lower gpa's may have a chance to make it in, of course I could be wrong and the majority of the 245 people that were ranked retook classes or just have 4.0's lol

    I am the opposite of the low GPA and high HESI score I have a 3.796 GPA but a 82 on my HESI. I just freeze on that test and it is one test

    Wow they said only 246 applied? Like a comment previously posted I wonder if that was people that retook and re applied, or if it does give some of us with lower scores a chance.....ughhhh its almost the 19th

    I wish the days would go by faster! These days seem to be so long lately....with all this waiting. I can't wait to find out! My nerves are shot. Good luck to you all!

    Hey All!!! Not sure how many of you applied to MCC's other programs but the letters are out! I was accepted to R.T. But still waiting to hear from Nursing!!! If I had to say, we'll have letters by next Sat!

    This is my second time applying, so im prayin i get in!

    For those who dont know, they figure out your ranking score like this:

    GPA multiplied by 25, then divided by 25. Plus HESSI score divided by 2.

    I can say the 246 applied for the PTA program. And i think like 160 something to the OT program.

    Good luck! Did you have to retake classes to boost your GPA?

    Is that how they figure the ranking scores? The posts from last year said they do GPA x 25 divided by 2 not 25 + Hesi score divided by 2

    Hi!!! This is my 2nd time applying too and I got my acceptance letter for the RT program today. I was thinking the same that we should have our letters next week for nursing. This next week is going to drag for a lot of us and going to be very stressful too. Try to think positively everyone and good luck to everyone!!!

    @ rnstudenthpfl- sorry, i miss typed, it is divided by 2, not twenty five.
    i did retake classes to boost my gpa. I retook A&P, which i boosted. And Patho, which i didnt boost. I also retook HESSI, and i boosted that.
    If i had this gpa and hessi i would have been in, so im praying im in this year

    @kc0320- Hope ya get in this year! did you retake things to boost gpa or hessi? & Congrats on RT!
