This is a discussion on CNA training around detroit or tri cities in Michigan State Nursing Programs, part of Michigan Nursing ... I am currently a pre-nursing student hoping to get into the program in the Winter 2009 or Fall 2009...
by deemd22 Nov 7, '08I am currently a pre-nursing student hoping to get into the program in the Winter 2009 or Fall 2009 semesters. I go to school in the tri cities area. I'm looking for a CNA program that is on the shorter side. I found one in the tri cities for 2 weeks during the day, but the first set of dates they offer begin during my finals and the second set end during my first week of class next semester. I will be in the Detroit area around the holidays and was wondering if anyone knew of any places that offer these shortened programs in the area. I would like to get certified and begin working, so when nursing clinicals and such come around I have some hands on experience. Thanks!

The one I took was with the RED Cross. It is 3 weeks during the day and 4 weeks for the evening class. - Nov 12, '08 by ForesterI did one at Hazy Institute in Oak Park. It was 2 weeks and cheaper than the red cross.

This is a school that I have been contemplating on going to this fall, but I have not heard much about this school before and do not know if it's a good school or not. Also did the school help you all find jobs after you completed the program?I did one at Hazy Institute in Oak Park. It was 2 weeks and cheaper than the red cross.
- Nov 3, '10 by carol barkermy sister went to hazy and ended up calling it crazy hazy institute. she didn't care for the instructor at all. there's supposed to be another one on six mile & greenfield area that's pretty good. Good luck!
- Oct 21, '11 by cbarkerrn2010I went to Health Care Solutions on McNichols (six mile). Was a great class. Only 2 weeks long, affordable tuition ($575), reasonable payment plan too. Good luck.RN-2010 likes this.
