Hello all! I hail from Detroit, MI. I will be starting my LPN program Sept 4, 2012 and it ends Aug 16, 2013! I'm already on this site A LOT so I'll be on here even when it starts. I'm a very motivational person and I love helping whenever I can (And I love to receive help
) so feel free to pm whenever you all need as we go through this journey together!

I'm from Flint, and I just finished my first year in June. I go to Mott Community College, and I chose it because everyone I work with says they turn out the best nurses in the area. I'm still waiting to test though, and I'm getting frustrated! I start the RN program in September, and I had hoped to be a real LPN by then. My school is taking forever to send my certificate to the state, but hopefully I can test in the next few weeks.
My best advice to all of you new students is to study NCLEX practice questions as much as you can. I found that it really helped me excel my classes and get 4.0s. Here is a link to a great site, or you can just google NCLEX practice questions.
Medical-Surgical Nursing
Your social life will suffer, but it will be worth it. The time does go by fast, although when your in the middle of it all it seems like it will never end. I loved it though. Nursing school is hard work, but with a little determination, you will succeed!LivingFor08162013 and shudva like this.
