Is there anyone else on here who is waiting for a response from WCCCD's nursing department? I applied June 30, and am going slightly crazy waiting for my acceptance/denial e-mail! Let's get to know each other, hopefully we'll be classmates!

Still have a while before we will find out. Some students on here said letters should go out sometime in mid-August

summer school had already started by the time we got our letters for the fall 2012. so I would imagine the slow process will continue. I would suggest if you need to re-take something to get a better grade then do so, that way if you get a denial letter you can apply again in feb. with hopefully better grades. The lowest they took for the fall was 75 points, if any of you are in that neighborhood your in. good luck!

Hi! I applied June 30th as well and I am also going crazy especially now that August is here. I checked out a forum of fall 2012 applicants and some got their letters a week before summer classes started and some were later. Apparently they are not all mailed out at once. So I am guessing from what I hear from others who applied they try to get the letters out before the day we can drop our classes with 100% refund. So realistically, I think ours will be out maybe sometime between the 13th and the 27th (which is the last day for 100% refund with classes begining on the 20th). Last applicants received their letters by mail. However, I called the nursing office and was told this time they will be going out by email. I guess we really won't know until we receive the letter because I think they were supposed to be emailed last time too. Please keep us updated on anything you hear from the department and I will do the same. Good Luck to you!

I called the nursing department and someone told me to expect acceptance letters by September!

Thanks for the info. That sucks that some people won't be able to retake any classes and re-apply in Febuary. I am hoping they told you that so no one expects them sooner and then risk getting bombarded with phone calls for not getting them out as promised. If I don't get in this time I will have to retake the teas and get cpr certified. My gpa is great but my teas scores were bad (69 in reading and 73 in math) and I didn't get CPR certified. But yeah, Sept! That's just unfair. Did they say anything about emailing them or mailing them? Just wondering if you got the same response as me.

I was following the post for previous years and it looks like they didn't their letters until August 31st. Good luck everyone!

I called the nursing dept today. I was told that she couldn't specify a date when the letters would be sent, she just said they would be sent towards the end of the month. And when I asked if they would be sent through the mail she said, yes. It's weird because it is always the same woman who answers the phone but she always gives different information. Oh' well, I guess only time will tell!

When I called I spoke with a young guy who told me letters should be mailed around late August early September.

I'm praying to see my acceptance letter in the mail. I have also called the Nursing office and was told letters will be mailed.

Me too! Do you know if we will get a letter if we aren't accepted? Or should I assume no news is bad news? Please keep us posted on any new news you may hear and I will do the same. Good Luck to you! Hopefully our wait won't be much longer :)
