There are hospitals in the area and you can expand your efforts out to Detroit if you don't mind commuting.

There are also a number of nursing programs in the area with graduating students and the job market is still pretty rough in Michigan. We're being told to expect a good four months of full-time searching/interviewing before we'll finally be offered a position. So yes, there are hospitals hiring new grads, but there are hundreds of applicants for each position and it's taking a while. Good luck!
