Macomb Community College - 2012 HESI

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

Well, another year means another time for more score updates. I am getting ready to take my HESI in a couple weeks to apply for the 2012 Nursing Program and I must say I am really beginning to get nervous! Thanks to their recent addition of HHSC-1040 (right before I was apply :banghead:) I am just curious how everyone did, and what was it like this year? I have no clue what to expect and I have been searching forever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am really not worried about the Math or Grammar sections. I'm more worried about the Vocabulary, Reading, and A&P section that they added. Any advice would be great. I already have the Evolve HESI book that I have been reviewing from for the past couple of months. I'm still just really nervous.

I don't have a HESI score yet, but my GPA to apply for the program is: 3.925.

Again, any advice would be grand!

So did I! Finally lolI got the Saturday lab. Not too thrilled about that but it is what it is lol

I just got my schedule too! Which course was your Saturday one? This is exciting though!!!!!

HI everyone,

I just have a question: Does anyone know how the Nursing semester sequence works at Macomb? I am a March start. Does the next semester just start in the fall?

I tried to look on the macomb website with no luck. Thanks a lot!

su85 - It's the 6 hour lab, 1165 I think.

JLJ11405 - Yes, there's no summer sememster for Nursing at MCC, just Fall and Winter

JLJ11405 - you will start in March and have your first 8 weeks. Then you'll have all summer off and start up again the next section 1245, 1255, 1265 in August and so on

This might be silly, but for those who have already taken the Hesi at Macomb, were you guys allowed to use a simple calculator for the math part? Do you get scrap paper when you're working on math? Also, it's a computerized test right?

Thank you:).

Yes you get scrap paper and you can also use the calculator that is on the computer.

Thanks for the quick reply:).

Anyone have any hints as to what they accepted last year for the Nursing program?? I talked to a counselor long long long time ago and they gave me some tips and also a break down of the lowest scores and gpas they took, but like I said that was a while ago, probably more than a few years so probably out of date now. I've been meaning to go in and talk to a counselor, but they're always so busy and they have some odd hours too. Anyone have any advice or some helpful info that would be awesome!!!

If you look earlier in this post, people shared what they did and didn't get in with. I got in with a 3.6 and 91. I was ranked 98. The scores cchange year to year obviously.

Hi everyone, I am new to this site and I was hoping to get some feedback. I applied to MCC 2013 Nursing program with a 3.86 GPA and a 90 on my HESI. Whay do you think my chances are that I will get in????

No way we can tell. It literally all depends on how everyone else does
