Macomb Community College - 2012 HESI

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

Well, another year means another time for more score updates. I am getting ready to take my HESI in a couple weeks to apply for the 2012 Nursing Program and I must say I am really beginning to get nervous! Thanks to their recent addition of HHSC-1040 (right before I was apply :banghead:) I am just curious how everyone did, and what was it like this year? I have no clue what to expect and I have been searching forever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am really not worried about the Math or Grammar sections. I'm more worried about the Vocabulary, Reading, and A&P section that they added. Any advice would be great. I already have the Evolve HESI book that I have been reviewing from for the past couple of months. I'm still just really nervous.

I don't have a HESI score yet, but my GPA to apply for the program is: 3.925.

Again, any advice would be grand!

Richmond Lenox EMS does it every 2nd sat of the month. It is $50 and very good. 9am to 12 and you are done. I don't know were you are but the EMS post is on 32 mile road.

Anyone else get their start letters? Any other Octobers out there?

I got January, anyone with me?

I called a couple of weeks ago to see if I got moved up on the alternate list and I got moved from 10th to 4th but I have not called since then. Has any other alternates called?

Same here. Apparently I need to take the Intro to Psych class here, mine transferred over as a sociology credit. Oh well, no big deal-still in and that's what matters to me.

October start date here!!

January start for me too! Does anyone know if we can buy books now? At the orientation the current students talked about the Taylor book and videos to start reviewing. I'd like to get this asap!

October!

I'd guess we can just go to the bookstore and load up whenever we want, it looked online like some of the books were special order anyway.

So the letter gave all the classes/sections to register for - but will there be additional clinicals on top of that? Or not till later semesters? I'm just wondering how I should plan my work hours...

wigtona - My letter did not give the classes/sections cause I don't start till Jan. However I'd like to get the Taylor book asap to watch the videos. Could you tell me the exact name, edition or ISBN number?

I think the first 8 weeks is just the lecture and lab classes and clinicals don't start till the second 8 weeks.
