Does anyone have any information as to what the average grade point and Hesi scores are for this year? How many people actually applied for the program and took the Hesi? When does Macomb usually send out acceptance letters?

Also, even though the criteria is different this year, any idea as to what the lowest scores/gpa were for acceptance last year?

Thanks

I was wanting to know the same things, so after being transferred to over 5 different ppl at Macomb Center Campus, I finally found out that the only person who can answer those questions was an advisor, so I went to the advisor to get some answers. The advisor was able to show me the "range" of accepted GPA/HESI scores from last year, she also took the 3 required class scores for qualifying and gave me the GPA from those 3 that will be used in conjunction with my HESI score to see where I stand since it's not our "overall" GPA being used, rather the GPA from those 3 specific classes. I did not ask about how many people applied, although, I was told by the department who sends out the letters that they were still figuring out all the GPA's at the end of March and that they would likely be not mailing them out this year until May! As far as last years lowest GPA and HESI scores, I know that they surprised me and gave me hope because I scored 92 on my HESI this year and my 3 class GPA is 3.72 which I thought doomed me but I'm not so sure now. I hope this helps. Just go see an advisor and they can fill you in on all this.

Hello Everyone! I found this formula on allnurses that you can use to figure out your score for the nursing program. It is: Take your GPA x 25 and divide by 2. Take Hesi score & divide by 2, then add them. Hope you find this helpful, I really got excited when I found it. :p

Hopeful -

Can you please share the information that you learned as far as the scores from last year?

Also, I spoke to the Dean of Nursing and she told me that the letters will probably go out sometime around April 19th! I hate this waiting!!

Luckily thats this Friday so hopefully they will send them out mid week and you all will start getting them by Friday or this weekend. Good luck to all fo you who applied!

ShawnB, and should that total be close to 100 then? If I add all mine up and do the division like you suggested I get 97. Does that sound right?

bugsmom925 - That does sound right. A 100 would mean that you got a 100 on the hesi and a 4.0 gpa. A 97 is awesome. I'll bet we'll be in the same class!:) Did you get the GPA letter today?

ShawnB, yes, I did get the letter too...can't wait until we hear if we're in or not :)

Hi everyone I was just wondering if I could find out what everyones composite score on the hesi exam was this year just trying to see where i fit in thanks in advance for sharing.

My Hesi score was 92. I am hoping it will be good enough - keeping my fingers crossed.

According to the Macomb letter my hesi score is a 96.

can anyone tell me how to figure out what my gpa is for the three ranking classes for nursing?? I had an A in English, an A in a and p 1, a B in a and p 2 and an A in micro..thanks so much for your help
