I myself would never live in Detroit. I would go north or west of Detroit. Bad school system, high crime area. Stay away from there imo.

I have been inform from numerous people in this forum to stay away from Detriot it has nothing good about it including HIIIIIIII Crime and Bad School system and most of all it is allll Ghettoooooooooooo and a trashy place to live I have a brother who at time I wonder why the hell would he live in Detroit when all i hear from hime is either a house got burn down or someone got shot or killed or someone got thiere house broken into or robbed so please take my advise just as I have been taken advice from others in this and other forums dont move thier and least but, not last dont even think of working thiere.....it is nothing but hellllllllllll house up in Detriot.

Can you recommend me a good area town so that I can relocate my family and I once my fiance'e and I finish our LPN Program I was look in the Detroit area but, you inform me to stay away from that area due to the fact of crime and shool system and I totally agree with you my brother owns 2 home in the Wayne county and he wants me to relocate in his town but, I don't want to because I have to boy and I would like to keep it that way I don't plan t visit my kids in a hospital and even less in a grave yard. So if you can please give me the best but, not so expensive area for me to purchase a nice home for my family and I. also I need to consider the length of distance between my brother and I... the farther the area the less visit of his druken a@# of coming over my home..and I do mean this with all of my love that I have toward him as his little brother but, I would like to avoid that situation around my family and I....One more thing befor I let you go I also would like to know what is the paying rate for a LPN out their in Michigan, Detriot??? Thanks alot

I was wondering what part of Michigan are you located at and what is the differential for a 11-7 p.m pay and the starting rate for a new LPN

my facility does not offer differential for 11-7 shift. i am not sure about starting rate, i believe it's on the low end, around 18-19 dollars an hour.

i work in clinton township area

are you the one with a brother in wayne county? i am not sure if you want to be far away from him or close? detroit is nothing but a 30 to 40 minute car ride away even from the northernest suburbs, where i live. i live in a nice area, low crime, but kind of expensive if you only have one salary like me. taxes are reasonable. i have lived in the area i do most of my life, moving only due to military. it's got good schools. if you want more info, pm me. i don't feel comfortable posting exact location on a public forum!

A friend of mine started as a new grad LP making 18 to 19 an hr. at our county nursing home in Battle Creek.

This area is way better than the Detroit area, it is a growing city.

all depends on if you work contigent or take a position. some places pay as any where from26.75 to 30.00 dollar per/hour
