U.S.A. Michigan

Hi! I would like to ask about the gallup assessment for nurses since it is a part now of the hiring process at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital. I had my interview there for a couple of days now and they asked me to finished the gallup assessment so I'm also done with it. Does it have any bearing on my application so as woththe interview with the manager? Any insights about the assessment? Do the hospital will base it's decision from the assessment as well the interview? How long does it gonna take for the nurse recruiter to call me about the result? Are they gonna call me back about being declined for the position or not? Please help me. I don't know if I passed the interview as well as the gallup asssessment. Thanks

hi there i had an interview with the case manager in Harper Hospital and also done a job shadowing. are they gonna call me if i got the job? im kinda worried about it. i really really want to start working. thank you

I was just wondering to anyone who has recently got hired to DMC hospitals, did they just call you after applying online or did you have inside connects? I have been applying for every open position on the DMC site and NOTHING not even a call

No I didn't know anyone no inside connects . I guess it was prayer and pure luck with me. And yes they called me about 1 week after I filled out for the position online.

I interviewed at DRH and I went throught the same thing with this Gallup assessment. It was more like a personality test. Obviously it has some bearing on the hiring process because after a wonderful interview with 2 great Nursing managers, i didnt get the job.:bluecry1:

Hello, no I don't have any RN experience. I recently graduated nursing school this past summer and took my State Boards at the end of October. My resume was a simple resume, I've only work at one place for 14 years so that was the only job on my resume. I use to think that working at my previous employment for so long would hinder me. But as a matter of fact, when I had my interview the manager said that she commended me for being so dedicated to my previous job. In my opinion, I believe that the resume will get you the interview, but once you have the interview you have to sell yourself and be honest. I have NEVER in my life had an interview before, and was extremely nervous and was asking everyone what do I say. I even had a mock interview with a family member. When it came down to it I just answered the questions honestly and I was myself.

I will also be graduating from out of state, but would like to move back to Michigan. I am in an ADN program now, but will start the BSN program right away after that. I have some experience as an LPN and have a degree in an unrelated area. How is the market for new grad RNs in Michigan? Does the DMC hire new grads? I keep looking at their postings and they say 1 year experience

I actually graduated from another country...I've been looking for a job for 2 months now and just one call from Harper and I'm not even sure if I got the job still waiting for a call from HR...
