I had both A&P I & II, Micro, and Patho else where and they all transferred. I'm taking Cell Bio (Fri.), Intro. Algebra (TTh), and Inter. Comm (Th). I'm also taking the Health class on line, but I'm thinking about asking if I can attend the class instead.

I really hope that we all get our acceptance letters real soon.

I took the Health class last semester and, frankly, I didn't learn anything I either didn't already know or couldn't learn by googling. It's a ticket-punch class really, the main thing is the background and drug checks...but it can be fun.

lilflygirl111: Did you apply at any other schools? Baker is starting to take applications this week. If I don't make it in to the Davenport program, I'm considering reapplying. I'm pretty sure I'll get in with the extra point.

:jester:Hi... I have NO desire to apply nor attend Baker's Nursing Program!! I felt very mislead by them and they are not nationally accrediated! If i do not get in my plan is to finish my Bachelors in Health Science and see where that may lead me in a career!! I'll look at it as a door was closed and another will open for something else!!

Like you, Baker left a sour taste in my mouth. The point system is unfair to those who really worked hard to get into the program. So many people were misled, points concerning withdrawals were never explained. Not knowing that it counted against you hurt a lot of peoples chances of getting in. The transferred credits were also bad news. I would perfer Davenport, but I'm getting anxious about starting a nursing program. I figure if I don't get accepted at Davenport, I'll go to Baker, get the ASN, then take the BSN completion at Davenport.

And like you, and probably like many others, whatever door God happens to open, I'm stepping right in.

Thanks, I decided to go on ahead with the on-line class. I'm mailing the first set of forms in the morning (due on the 12th).

Hi Promiseme & Anoetos,

I have a question for the two of you regarding the Health course. I am registered for a one day class HLTH 101. It meets on Thursday for 1 1/2 hour class, for CBC and DRUG Screen!! The class showed up on black board, but nothing was posted to it? I know Black Board is having technical difficulties, I have my COMM class online. :rolleyes: What class are the two of you talking about??? I was told this was all I needed to take???

Hi Promiseme & Anoetos,

It's the same class, it could be taken on-line or in a class setting. I was able to download all the forms because it was an on-line class for me. You will receive, I'm assuming, the forms in class on Thursday.

Yes, AFAIK, Blackboard just came back up yesterday evening. I don;t think instructors have had the chance to post material to it yet. You'll be fine I am sure.

:crying2: Just junk mail today! Now I'm really nervous, did all the acceptance letters go out first?

:balloons:Good news for my friend though, she received her letter today and made it into the program. She said it came in a large size envelope, and I was right about the $150 to reserve your seat.

I did not recieve my letter yet either but my neighbor recieved hers and she was not accepted. I am so sad for her but there's a reason for everything.

@Promise and Anoetos, I agree with you both. I will never go back to Baker, and the only reason that I applied for DU is becuase they were the only once beside WCCCD that would accept my Science classes form there. I currently do not have a plan B and I was rejected for WCCCD last cycle but I applied again the same time I applied for DU so now I'm waiting on two letters. Hopefully one will be a yes....I am so so nervous.

Tell your friend that I'm so sorry but to keep her head up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

May I ask, did it say why she was not accepted?

I pray that you receive good news from both schools, that would be so awesome. Now go give your friend a hug from both of us :hug:
