!!!!! Congrats!!

I'm waiting for one too, but no mail yet here. I'm going to pounce on my mail carrier today. Until then, I'm crossing every thing I have to cross.

Edit: I've always wondered, is it just a normal letter, or is it a packet?

Congrats Tiffie! I too got a letter, but says that I was chosen as an alternate...I will admit I am disappointed. I am going to accept the alternate and see where that takes me...so if I don't start Spring 2010, I will start Fall 2010.

Good Luck to all waiting to hear!!!!

I GOT IN!

And now, of course, I'm freaking out about having so little time to get everything done. I've already made an appointment to get my and physical and titers done with my normal doctor, but I'm stressing out about the CPR card. Any idea where to get that done?

Quick question: I was told at the info meeting that we could get the titers done, get the booster if necessary, etc, or just skip right to the booster, if we have proof (immunization record) that we had the initial immunization. However, the "Student Health Profile" form seems to suggest we have to get titers done. I'd rather just skip the titers and do the boosters to save time, but I'm not sure if I can... I'm definitely going to ask when I turn in my green card Friday (getting it done ASAP! ), but I thought I'd ask in advance, in case anyone knows.

They told me before that they will tell you/refer you to a place so everyone can get their CPR card at the same time..so don't worry..you will prob have to pay for it, but they will give you info where and when for CPR..CONGRATS!!!

That's the confusing thing. The letter seems to state that we have to have our CPR card already by the orientation. It ("Acceptance Letter SPRING 2010 - Page Two") reads "You are required to submit health information (physical form) and CPR training verification information at Orientation." It then goes on to read "We are strictly adhering to the requirements that all medical information be submitted on Orientation Day. Those who fail to comply will not be placed in the program." That suggests that we have to have the card in-hand at Orientation on 11/25. The "Medical Requirements" page includes info on the CPR card that I didn't notice before. Not much, but it does give a number to Health Education Strategies that is "one source for (CPR) training." It's already 4:30pm, so I'm going to call tomorrow. ^^

Whoops! I just re-read Page Two, where it reads "Immunizations information or evidence of antibodies must be provided either by blood tier reports or current booster vaccine (within 1 month)." That seems to suggest that I can just skip the titers and get the boosters again. I'll look at my immunization records, and depending on those dates (I can't remember when I got each vaccination), I might just skip right to the booster. Of course, I'll ask when I turn in my green card Friday, just to be sure.
