WCCCD applcation dates

Does anyone know when the dates are to put in ur application? I know the deadline is May 30th, but does anyone have the dates before that date for the Fall admission and also for the January program?

Also, what were all 11 classes to have to apply with?

Have you gone to an information meeting? The only reason I ask is because you have to have a comfirmation paper from that meeting and include it with your application or they won't accept your application.

Otherwise here are the dates:

Times are 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm unless otherwise indicated!
For Fall Admission:
April 29
May 19
May 30 (1pm-3:30pm)

For Spring Admission:
August 26
September 15
September 30 (1pm-3:30pm)

I hope this helps ya!

Do you know how we register for this information meeting? I called the number and I just get a recording.

I don't think you have to register for the information meeting. When you go and sign in in they will give you a form showing that you attended the meeting.

As for your other question...

You only need 5 prerequisites to apply to the program and those are:
Eng 119
PSY 101
BIO 240
BIO 250
BIO 295

The rest are corequisites and they are:
HSC 100
DT 130
HSC 200
SOC 100
An American Gov class
ENG 120
BIO 252

If you are a transfer student and you have not already submitted your transcripts for evaluation then you have missed the deadline for Fall 08 which was April 1st. However, starting for the Spring semester if you are transfering to WCCCD for the nursing program you will need to complete 12 credit hours at WCCCD in order to have your transcripts evaluated. This has always been a college requirement, but the nursing department has always waived that requirement.

Yeah, I already have attended a information meeting sometime last year. I was a transfer student, but had all my stuff evaluated and have taken many classes as well and the only class I haven't completed on the list then is Medical Measurements. Alright thanks so much!

Oh that is great!!!! I am so glad that the new transfer policy didnt affect you. I know there were so many that were very upset by the new changes.

Hopefully we will get our happy letters come July!!! Good luck to you!

Yeah I had transfered over a little over a year ago and have taken like 4 classes their too, so thats good. I hope now we have a better chance of getting in. i wonder what the GPA would go down to then, or if it wouldn't affect it really?

I don't know that the GPA will be affected at all. However, I do think that it will lower the amount of persons applying which increases our odds of getting accepted.
