Wayne County Comm College New Students Registering for Courses Question

Sorry for confusing title,

I received my acceptance letter to take courses at WC3. I am doing prereqs for the Accelerated 2nd degree program at OU for the BSN. Anyways, the letter said I had to go in to see a counselor to be permitted to register. I think this is absolutely ridiculous since I already have a 4 year degree in engineering and know how the system works. Anyways, I went there about 2 months ago (on the day we had like a foot of snow fall during rush hour traffic), and the counselor goes "well come back on April 7, we don't see people for the summer semester until then, and you have to bring your course plan from OU, blah blah blah".

I said fine.

Well i logged into webgate, and it says I have no holds to register, so I web registered for 2 courses. I have not been back to the counselor. IS there going to be a problem if I don't go back to the advisor or am I all set? I really do not want to take the time to go back over there and 'get approved', when all I'm doing is taking select courses to transfer to OU. I know how the system works. I think this shoudl be reserved for freshmen out of high school, or new college people. But that's just my opinion.

It is silly that OU trusts me (I didn't have to talk to someone before registering for courses to be approved), yet some comm college doesn't.

have a friend who had the same issues as you had. The school never noticed and she went to classes as normal.
